Pressure Vessel (Hastelloy)
Hastelloy alloys, represented by grades such as C276, C22, and B2, are among the most reliable nickel-based corrosion-resistant materials. Pressure vessels built with these alloys combine durability with strong adaptability to extreme service conditions, making them the preferred choice where stainless steel or carbon steel can no longer provide adequate protection. By extending service life and reducing unexpected downtime, they help operators minimize the risk of costly equipment failure.
This alloy should be considered in the following cases:
- Media with highly corrosive characteristics, such as chloride concentrations above 1000 ppm, or strong acids including hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid, where 316L stainless steel or titanium have shown corrosion failures.
- The working condition involves high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion (e.g., temperatures above 200 °C, pressures exceeding 10 MPa, and acidic media).
- Production setups requiring long-term reliability, such as continuous operation facilities where even a single day of shutdown may result in losses exceeding millions.
